Greetings from the MAD Academy Board!

As we begin a new school year, we’re excited to share our goals and invite you to partner with us in keeping MAD Academy strong and innovative.

The MAD Academy Board is made up of parents and community members who are committed to sustaining and growing this unique program. The mission of the California Academy Foundation Board (MAD Academy Board) is to provide financial assistance and fundraising for the MAD Academy program, its directors, students, and faculty in areas where Santa Barbara High School or the Santa Barbara Unified School District is unable to provide support.

Thanks to your generosity last year, we raised $48,000—enough to purchase 55 new cameras for our students. This upgrade has already transformed classroom learning, ensuring students work with technology that reflects real-world industry standards.

This year’s goal: raise $50,000 for continued support and the purchase of additional equipment and supplies.

We are so thankful that our children are able to participate in an academy of this level and recognize that it cannot operate without the support of our MAD Academy families. Your contributions will provide critical resources that keep MAD Academy current, creative, and impactful for every student. From updated equipment to classroom projects to real-world learning opportunities, your support ensures that students have the tools they need to thrive.
